Facts (Still) Don't Care About Your Feelings: The Brutally Honest Sequel to the National Smash Hit

a book by Ben Shapiro

(our site's book review)

Shapiro Breaks Down American Politics from 2015 to Today Like You’ve Never Seen Before

The Amazon blurb says that A lot has changed since 2015, and Ben Shapiro has something to say about it. In this curated sequel to Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings,” Shapiro breaks down American politics from 2015 to today like you’ve never seen before.

Review political dog fights and the Democrats’ radicalism problem through a poignant lens. Analyze the novel coronavirus and its economic implications through a perspective too often stamped out by the mainstream media. Explore the absurdities of “anti-racism,” “mostly peaceful” protests and other leftist attempts to rewrite America. And discover pieces of the American identity—unity, free speech, capitalism and so much more—we have lost in the mayhem.

As Shapiro says, "[Castro] worked with mass murderer Che Guevara to murder political opponents. Castro was, simply put, one of the worst people in a century full of awful human beings.

So why did the left emerge to pay its respects [to Castro] this week?

Becausc at least Castro sought utopia.

Individual Rights Are Obstacles to Communal Greatness

Radical leftism believes that the quest for a utopian world, a world free of unfairness, justifics any cruelty against individuals. Individual rights are obstacles to communal greatness

Radical leftism believes that the quest for a utopian world, a world free of unfairness, justifics any cruelty against individuals. Individual rights are obstacles to communal greatness. The bricks of the tower of Babel will be mortared with the blood of those sacrificed on behalf of the vision. That’s because the state—which is really just an extension of “the people,” who only exist en masse, never as individuals—is the source of all rights. No rights can be violated if the state declares them defunct."

The people only exist en masse to liberals, as a collective, never as individuals—which is how conservatives see them

Ben Shapiro Is a Prolific Author, Podcaster, Radio Host, Pundit

"Ben was the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the country, at the age of 17 in the United States. He works as an editor emeritus for The Daily Wire and hosts a show named 'The Ben Shapiro Show' which is a daily political podcast and live radio show. He also writes columns for famous publishers like Ami Magazine, Newsweek, and Creators Syndicate. Ben has also served as editor-at-large for Breitbart News." Ben founded The Daily Wire and hosts The Ben Shapiro Show—and as of March 2019, the podcast was ranked by Podtrac as the second most popular podcast in the U.S. He is a fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. Shapiro has written eleven books. Here are some of them:

Shapiro has argued that the left has dominated American culture through popular entertainment, media, and academia in a way that has made conservatives feel disenfranchised, and—fortunately—helped lead to the election of Donald Trump

Shapiro Rightly Accuses the Political Left of Believing in an Imaginary 'Hierarchy of Victimhood'

Shapiro rightly accuses the political left of believing in an imaginary 'hierarchy of victimhood' in which the opinions of members of persecuted groups like the LGBT community are afforded more credence than average white male opinions. He has argued that the left has dominated American culture through popular entertainment, media, and academia in a way that has made conservatives feel disenfranchised, and—fortunately—helped lead to the election of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

Shapiro has argued that African-Americans were historically victims of injustice in the United States, but that they are not victims of widespread systemic injustice today. Shapiro has dismissed the idea that the United States was founded on slavery and argued that America "was founded in spite of slavery." In 2017, Shapiro rightly argued that 'The idea that black people in the United States are disproportionately poor because America is racist; that's just not true.' The truth is that blacks ARE victims of systemic injustice—in that mostly white teachers and leftist propagandists are unjustly convincing blacks that they are nothing but victims, which wrecks their identities, job prospects, ambition, hopes and dreams.

Shapiro Rightly Advises Us to Be Unionists (Like Conservatives) Instead of Disintegrationist Liberals Who Want to Tear Down This Country

How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps (2020) shows that to be a cohesive nation we have to uphold foundational truths about ourselves, our history, and reality itself—to be unionists instead of disintegrationists. Shapiro offers a vital warning that if we don’t recover these shared truths, our future—our union—as a great country is threatened with destruction.

His warning reminds us of the warning implicit in George Orwell's 1984, wherein a guy named Winston works in the Ministry of Truth, where he alters historical records to fit the needs of the Party. The liberal activists in 2021 got together with the New York Times and rewrote history so it was all about evil whites oppressing blacks, acting like Ministry of Truth workers. Shapiro is right, to stay a free country we must preserve our history and truths—as Trump himself said.

"Ben Shapiro. His work has been profiled in nearly every major American publication, and he has appeared as the featured speaker at many conservative events on campuses nationwide, several of those appearances targeted by progressive and 'Antifa' activists. A New York Times bestselling author, Shapiro is a graduate of Harvard Law School, and an Orthodox Jew. . . . How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps . . . is a great guide for understanding why this country seems so crazy and divided.

"[The Leftist narrative] is a philosophy that derides any notion of American unity as a lie, and bathes that which links us - Abraham Lincoln’s 'bonds of affection' and 'mystic chords of memory' - in acid, disintegrating our ties and casting us all adrift.', To put it simply, Shapiro does what you would expect of a Harvard trained lawyer, he makes his case. These people view America as a society of competing oppressions. . . . The thing that makes America so fantastic is the individual rights it offers its citizens. I am an avid fan of Ben Shapiro and his work." (Source: how to destroy america in three easy steps summary, Roger Bourland)

Shapiro says that "Dictators everywhere are safe so long as leftism reigns. And leftism will continue to reign so long as men dream of a collective heaven on Earth rather than of individual rights protected from such utopian totalitarians."
