We Found the Answer to How to Turn This Country Around, and Now We Need Your Help Figuring Out How to Get It to the Few People in a Position to Act on It

an article by our site

Is there anyone reading this who has meaningful contact/relationship with one of the powerful people with the money or influence to run with the ball, or who knows a good friend of one of the powerful people with the money or influence to run with the ball? If so, please contact us via our Contact form.

Or, alternatively, get either the good friend of the powerful person or the powerful person himself or herself to read the novel called The Forest Through The Trees and then contact us—or if they don’t feel like reading but do want to help this country turn itself around, they may contact us without reading the novel (299 pages). It would be advantageous to all concerned if they would merely read a short document Good News and Bad News (10 pages) before contacting us, but even that is not vital.

What IS vital is that those who are in possession of this wisdom and information (us) somehow get in contact with those in a position to run with the ball. As you can see, those in such a powerful position are not seeking out people like us with the USA-fixing wisdom and info. If they were, they'd have found us. Our website is titled The Big Answer. Not exactly subtle! No, they haven't found us because they are not looking for such wisdom and information, because they do not believe that such wisdom and information exists.

A few people get into politics until they find out how corrupt it's become and how the game is rigged—at which time they either sell out or they get out of politics and do something constructive and useful
A few people get into politics until they find out how corrupt it's become and how the game is rigged—at which time they either sell out or they get out of politics and do something constructive and useful

This country has lots of smart and wise people in it. Some write e-books. Some speak to large groups. Some run companies. Some make the talk show circuits. A few get into politics until they find out how corrupt it's become and how the game is rigged—at which time they get out of politics and start a company or even become professors or research scientists or doctors or lecturers. But none do what we have done. Not one. But we are mere coaches, and coaches cannot run the ball down the field. Only the players can do that. Please help us find PLAYERS. We have coach talents. We have no player talents. But some people do. Please send them our way!

We have coach talents. We have no player talents. But some people do. Please send them our way!
We have coach talents. We have no player talents. But some people do. Please send them our way!

You see, when people want to help turn this country around, they always decide that to be realistic they’ll need to use a realistic approach. "I'll fix things by being a politician." (Or a priest or lecturer or writer—etc.) Good intentions that often lead to good results. They wanted to help this country turn around and now they're secure in the knowledge that they're doing their part. This may be reductionism—or even rationalization—but it is undeniably REALISTIC. Being realistic, one looks at a big problem and then breaks it into realistic pieces and then proceeds to handle as big of a piece as s/he can, hoping that millions of others will do the same and turning this country around will indeed occur.

But, of course, the country does no such thing—and in their hearts these wannabe do-gooders knew full well that it wouldn't. The sad truth is that even if EVERYONE in the country was patriotic and did their part, it wouldn't turn anything around. It may be a good thing to do, put it's hardly a country fixer. Not even close! Doing more of the same, but doing it better, will fix nothing. We need a different approach.

If a football game was played with all players simply trying to grab the ball and run to the goal line, and there were no teams but just individual players out for their own glory, several things would happen. The NFL would go bankrupt. It would be boring so no one would show up at stadiums to watch it and no one would watch it on TV. Advertisers would stop sponsoring football games. And so on.

Reductionistic approaches would spell failure for the sport of football, but holistic approaches spell success
Reductionistic approaches would spell failure for the sport of football, but holistic approaches spell success

The reductionistic approach would spell failure for the sport of football. But everything changes when coaches employ a holistic approach to getting footballs to goal lines. With memorized plays and strategies and a teamwork approach to carry them out, the game becomes interesting (at least to sports fans) and dynamic and unpredictable and—for fans—even exciting and dramatic, and the advertisers and networks and the NFL all continue to thrive.

One could say that the guy that went into politics to help turn the country around is a player running for the goal and the USA is the team, but saying it doesn’t make it true. People in countries are the opposite of a team—regardless of how political hyperbole tries to depict it in the we're-all-in-this-together context. People are reductionistically competing AGAINST each other, not holistically cooperating WITH one another. So this whole turn-the-country-around-by-just-doing-my-part façade is disingenuous at best. We don’t believe it for a second. We cooperate in militaries and achieve military objectives, cooperate in medical teams in hospitals and achieve medical objectives, cooperate in businesses and achieve business objectives, etc. But for turning the country around, one has to ask what Jefferson, Washington, or even Eisenhower would be asking now if they looked around in 2015: Who is minding the store?

For turning the country around, one has to ask what Jefferson, Washington, or even Eisenhower would be asking now if they looked around in 2015: who is minding the store?

Without a doubt the politicians will swear up and down (they lie a lot--perhaps you’ve noticed!) that THEY are, indeed, minding the store. But the vast majority of the American polity has ceased to buy this obvious falsity. They know that the politicians serve not the people but the Corporatocracy, and those in the know have observed the USA's slow degeneration into an Oligarchy. It serves the oligarchy's interests to have the sheep voting for prevaricating candidates every few years in order to keep up the façade of being a democracy. The USA has left behind truly democratic ways at the same speed it has slid down the slippery slope into oligarchical ways. See Democracy—an American Delusion.

The politicians are not trying to turn this country around, they are serving the oligarchs who are laughing at us
The politicians are not trying to turn this country around, they are serving the oligarchs who are laughing at us

Even current, sitting Supreme Court Justices have admitted as much. Special interests cough up lots of money and buy the policies they want and the candidates they want. Our highest court made this very easy by their recent (2014) Supreme Court ruling. After the Supreme Court's decision in the Citizen's United case, the movement of the US towards a corporatocracy was complete. The ruling effectively drowns out the voices of everyday Americans and allows the buying of elections by the rich.

So the politicians are not trying to turn this country around, they are serving the oligarchs. The only ones who don’t know it just got elected yesterday. But they soon find out. Bush can start ill-conceived wars without our okay and Obama can give a trillion of OUR dollars to fat cats and their corporations without our okay and the NSA can spy on U.S. citizens without our okay and yet all these bozos can look at us with a straight face and swear they did it for our own good—reminding us of childhood spankings we received that were accompanied by the same assurance. And yet in all of these cases—we knew better.

Bush can start ill-conceived wars without our okay
Bush can start ill-conceived wars without our okay

So your average, patriotic American has a turn-the-country-around-by-just-doing-my-part façade that helps him sleep better at night, and the politicians encourage this façade since they perpetuate the myth of democracy and politicians serving us (rather than the Corporatocracy). And the corporations have been given carte blanche to give as much to candidates as they want by our pseudo-democratically acting highest court so that even the possibility of politicians acting in the public interest becomes a sick joke. So if the powers-that-be are doing all this to us, shouldn’t they be obliged to at least buy us dinner first? (If you didn’t follow that one, it's because you are very young and innocent. Bless you. But keep your back to the wall.)

The powers-that-be are screwing us, without even buying us dinner first
The powers-that-be are screwing us, without even buying us dinner first

If the politician is analogous to the football player and the goal line is where they should run if they're trying to help this country get its act together and turn it around, then the actual, real-life actions of American politicians are analogous to starting to run down the field, but then swerving over to the sideline where Corporatocracy fat cats are giving away bags of cash. Goal line—and U.S. democracy—be damned!

Corporatocracy fat cat giving away a bag of cash to a player
Corporatocracy fat cat giving away a bag of cash to a player

The average, patriotic American and the politicians and even the oligarchs share the same attitude about the possibility of someone possessing the type of wisdom and information (and the plan for implementing it) that could turn this country around: They do not believe that such wisdom and information exists. They do not believe such a turnaround is possible. They have given up hope, thrown in the towel, and called it quits about the matter—they simply have no idea how to turn the U.S.A. around, even though they deeply wish they knew. And yet, the more they pondered and cogitated, the more they just felt like it was hopeless: nary an insight was produced. Let's see: social engineering—nope. Tax everyone even more and spend money on programs that don't work with money we don't have—nope. Bomb the crap out of the growing list of enemies of the U.S.—nope. Elect smarter politicians and leaders to heroically lead us out of this mess—nope. Deport all illegals and build a mile high wall around the U.S.—nope.

The trouble wasn’t that they weren't smart enough to research and analyze USA's precarious cultural maladies and the problems with normal education and parenting and childcare and community as well as with a military strategy that has multiplied a few terrorists in 2001 to countless thousands in 2015, or even that they weren't good intentioned enough. The trouble with their thinking about these issues was reductionism when what was needed was holism.

We are all somehow hoping for our corrupt, self-serving government to ride in on a white horse and save the day, yet we know they won't
We are all somehow hoping for our corrupt, self-serving government to ride in on a white horse and save the day, yet we know they won't

Note all the naïve, one-track-mind thinking in the hopeless approaches in the paragraph before the last one. All of them are somehow hoping for our corrupt, self-serving government to—using the same impotent strategies that have been failing miserably for decades—ride in on a white horse and save the day. The essence of their thinking had been this: WHEN SOMETHING FAILS MISERABLY FOR DECADES BUT YOU WANT IT TO START SUCCEEDING, FINALLY, SIMPLY KEEP THE SAME APPROACH AND JUST DO MORE OF WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. This isn't thinking, folks. Insanity, maybe. Schizophrenia, maybe. Suicide, maybe. America having a stroke or cerebral aneurysm, maybe. But thinking it isn't! (Hopefully that's obvious!)

your average, patriotic American has a turn-the-country-around-by-just-doing-my-part façade that helps him sleep better at night
Your average, patriotic American has a turn-the-country-around-by-just-doing-my-part façade that helps him sleep better at night

But turning this country around is such a monolithically ginormous idea that the thought alone boggles the mind as we try to grasp it and we end up throwing up our hands in disgust, relegating such a possibility to the category of fantasy, or, if we are one of the oligarchy's political flunkies, it relegates to a catch-all tool of cynical manipulation of the public sheep-voters. To which we say: baaaaaaaaah! "Turning this country around" is one of the favorite phrases of politicians. They often promise to do it—and yet never ever mean a word of it. They have no clue about how to turn anything around and they know it. Unless we cringe when they lie to our faces like this, we simply are not seeing what's going on. Sheep don’t cringe. They see and hear what they're comfortable seeing and hearing, all of which simply kicks democracy in the teeth—and the sheep get sheared. The Founders of the USA assumed thinking citizens, not sheep!

Sheep see and hear what they're comfortable seeing and hearing, all of which simply kicks democracy in the teeth—and the sheep get sheared
Sheep see and hear what they're comfortable seeing and hearing, all of which simply kicks democracy in the teeth—and the sheep get sheared

The citizens seem to have somewhat of an ability to think even if our leaders do not. They've figured out that the government is not on their side, but only on the side of the powers-that-be (in the Oligarchy). They created an Occupy Wall Street demonstration that screamed to this Oligarchy that the income disparity is unfair, the rich continuing to pick the pockets of the poor and middle class as they laughed all the way to the bank—this is unfair, the too-big-to-fail corporations getting rewards and bonuses after screwing up the entire U.S. economy while we are FORCED to give them a trillion dollar bailout—this is unfair, etc.

And yet as these patriotic citizens screamed—for all of us—about this corrupt, immoral, merciless exploitation, the Oligarchy, sitting behind huge desks in huge offices and lighting $500 cigars with flaming $500 bills, rocked with laughter. They knew what we all know deep down: that the corruption was and is irreversible and the government and politicians serve not the people but the Oligarchy AND THERE WASN'T A DAMN THING ANYONE COULD DO ABOUT IT!

'You know, Archibald, my bladder is a tad too full—do these windows open? I'd like to send my regards to those pesky OWS protesters'

The safeguards the Founders had put in place to prevent our government becoming corrupt and usurped by oligarchs had failed. The price of liberty is vigilance, and we thought we were being just that. But while we were looking outwards trying to spot the approaching "enemies" (created conveniently as a side effect of Bush's Iraq invasion to search for bogus WMDs), our government was rotting from corruption from within. Pogo told us "We have met the enemy and he is us." Close, but no cigar, Pogo. It's not us. It's the corrupt neocon jerks that had the gall to sneak around slowly replacing a great democracy with their rotten Oligarchy, with the help of the Corporatocracy.

It used to be comforting to imagine that big daddies in our government had our backs and would take care of us. Now, few of us are so naïve as to buy this nonsense. We are being exploited, and the game has been rigged so badly that there's no turning back. So, what will we do? Stop voting—it's a joke. It only encourages the corrupt ass clowns to exploit us even more. But do NOT physically rebel against the government. The revolution we need isn't about blood in the streets or assassinations. Do NOT do it. It would simply make things worse and they'd cancel the rest of our rights and start up a police state. So forget violence. And then forget politics and government. Just pay your taxes and behave yourself.

U.S. is a police state at home and a predatory power abroad, imposing thousands of deaths on our troops and hundreds of thousands of deaths on others, and wasting trillions of dollars of American taxpayers' money

The top-down approach to fixing things has not only failed but turned rotten as well. So forget it. The politicians and government folks cannot help us. Hell—they no longer even WANT to! So, folks, we're on our own. Dump the top-down approach idea from your mind. What we have left to help us is THE BOTTOM-UP APPROACH. And that's you and me, baby. It's not a negative act of rebellion, disobedience, avoidance or rejection. It's a positive act of self-empowerment and family empowerment and neighborhood empowerment.

This country is slowly swirling around the drain—and you hate this swirling because, like us, you are a patriot
This country is slowly swirling around the drain—and you hate this swirling because, like us, you are a patriot

You can feel this country slowly swirling around the drain. And you hate this swirling. Because, like us, you love this country and, like us, you've served this country. Like us, you are a patriot. Not the brain-dead type of authority-worshipper that unquestioningly approves of everything their government does, no matter how idiotic (like so many Germans did when Hitler rose to power). That type is just a huge object lesson about what's wrong with letting someone do your thinking for you because you are too lazy to do it yourself. NO, we mean the type of patriots the Founders wanted: thinking, vigilant citizens.

There have been many good holistic thinkers (Carl Sagan, Fritjof Capra, Alvin Toffler, Einstein) before the author of The Big Answer website, but none willing to devote decades of thinking and research and writing to the specific task of discovering the wisdom and information (and plan for its implementation) for turning this country around (which would help turn the world situation around). Referring to the author of The Big Answer website: Einstein he's not. But persistent, holistic, focused, and insightful he is. Eventually knowledge evolved into wisdom.

Check out our website The Big Answer, especially the novel we call The Forest Through The Trees and judge for yourself. After reading the novel and grasping the fully-doable BOTTOM-UP APPROACH that was used to turn this country around, you'll nod and smile and realize that most of its wisdom was rather obvious.

The Forest Through The Trees
The Forest Through The Trees

And you'll marvel at the fact that the needed knowledge for fixing this country has existed since the early 1970s. Someone just had to holistically see how all these pieces fit together into a viable plan. If you're not curious enough to read the novel by now, then you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. You’ve given up. All you citizens who've given up are part of the problem. But follow the plan you find on our website and you too can be part of the solution.

So, please contact us via our Contact form if you know someone with lots of power and/or connections or both. Or a friend of such a person who can talk to him or her and have him or her contact us. You have nothing to lose if you do, but our country to lose if you don’t help even though you know someone who can run with the ball.

Do you know someone who can run with the ball?
