A thrilling testament to the fact that good, careful science can lead to breathtaking conclusions concerning the wonders of the universe, this book focuses on the incredible nature of black holes and time warps.

There’s a section on Einstein, and without a doubt we see a man who excelled and innovated in his field of physics not because of his education, but in spite of it. Unfortunately, many schools continue, to this day, to use Second Wave, assembly-line teaching methods with their students that fail to inspire or teach people to think, but instead try to turn students into databanks of useless and/or imminently forgettable knowledge, even though the 21st century requires thinkers, not databank-people. The lesson here is that, as a county, America imports a good many of its scientists and engineers—and often American businesses have to contract with foreigners (to do the work there) since no domestic scientists/engineers can be located who can do the job—and this tells us something unhappy about our educational system.
