My analysis above may not be quite so profound, possibly not worthy of a Nobel Prize, but I believe it does provide a new insight into the doomsday prophesies that have been declared since the dawn of civilization. I call it the “Unified Theory of Scare Stories’, which includes all those dire predictions that are either invisible or so remote that the average person cannot observe or verify the truth for themselves.
