The only jobs our education system is preparing our young for: burger flippers
The author criticizes the policies of the right which have “replaced the social safety net with the dragnet.” He considers them racist. He doesn’t look at the fact that more minority people are choosing to commit serious crimes than nonminority people, or that parts of the social safety net, combined with the liberal elite’s “hard work and lower wage work is for suckers” messages from Hollywood, are precipitating the social dysfunctionality and criminality that they’re supposed to be preventing. The Second Wave schools that are preventing our young from being prepared for the available jobs are a better place to look, if one is in a social reform mood, than the overwhelmed criminal justice system, in our opinion. We need Third Wave schools.

Like they say, a liberal is simply a conservative who hasn’t been victimized by criminals yet. There are few liberal victims shedding crocodile tears over convicts. Like the Baretta TV show rightly taught us: “Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.”
