The Tofflers are back in vogue because the GOP boss thinks they have divined the future writes Impoco. According to Jim Impoco, the Tofflers have long felt snubbed by American journalists and academics. And then Newt Gingrich helped them into the limelight. (Of course, Newt was out in 1998, so that didn’t last.) Alvin Toffler is disdainful of Newt’s right-wing positions.
The Tofflers don’t care if their views antagonize liberals, conservatives, or both. Both parties are Second Wave.
