So President Barack Obama boldly declared before leaving office, and numerous times since. But is it true?

Obama was involved but the mainstream press felt Obama was their Great Black Hope so they ignored the scandal. The Blagojevich scandal served notice to the American people that Obama’s tenure would be rotten to the core and that the press would cover up the stench.

Establishment 'journalists' were anxious for Obama to take office unencumbered by scandal so he could deliver on all that 'hope and change' he spoke of during the campaign. Far from acting as America’s watchdog, the press became Obama’s lapdog.

Obama had the most opaque and guarded administration in American history to undermine all attempts to hold government accountable. When asked for documents by justice, courts, or Freedom of Information requests, Obama would promply send the documents entirely redacted! What was this guy hiding?! (Obama's White House Counsel sent a memo to all federal agencies instructing them to delay, censor, or prevent the release of any documents involving or referencing any communication with the White House requested under the Freedom of Information Act. And yet Obama promised transparency!) A major study by the Committee to Protect Journalists released in 2013 called the Obama White House the most secretive since Nixon. The USA World Press Freedom Index plummeted from 20th out of 180 countries when Obama took office to 49th when he left.

As a candidate for president, Obama promised to protect whistleblowers. As president, he waged war against them. The Obama administration used the 1917 Espionage Act to go after whistleblowers who spoke with the media three times more than all past presidents...combined! An example is Edward Snowden, who exposed Obama's lies about "we don't spy on citizens." This enraged Obama because he was embarassed for getting caught, so he tried to make the Snowden thing about his "treasonous" disloyalty. Those of us who see the heroic thing Snowden did and deeply respect him for it are not fooled by this bait and switch trick, especially since Obama promised to protect whistleblowers as well as promised we were not being spied on. Too bad Trump doesn't have the awareness or integrity to pardon Snowden—the guy deserves a Nobel Prize, not a threat of imprisonment!

Some have said that the most racist president ever is Trump. But, sadly, that honor goes to Obama. The Obama administration was only interested in pursuing civil rights cases where the victims were minorities. If whites were victimized by blacks, Obama wasn't interested. Racist application of U.S. laws is illegal, but Obama didn't care. He seemed to like black people but he seemed to dislike white people, according to his actions. Equal justice under the law was something Obama was sworn to protect, but his actions said he preferred to "get whitey" instead. There was unambiguous evidence of a racial double standard in the Obama Civil Rights Division.

In another case, Obama also broke the law to protect a donor and ally who had misused federal grant money and sexually abused three students, then he and his appointees misled Congress in an attempt to cover it up. Did the mainstream media go wild with the reporting of this legitimate scandal? Nope—they ignored it—he was the liberals' Great Black Hope and there was a tacit understanding in the liberal press: hands off.

(Of course, now that the Orange Oligarch is in the White House, Fox is the only news channel that won't watchdog Trump, while the mainstream media is all over Trump like pimps on runaway girls.)

Democrat Joe Sestak made an allegation that was very serious—he’d been offered a job the previous summer by the Obama administration to put an end to his campaign. In fact, he had just accused the Obama White House of committing a federal crime—trading government jobs for favors. When asked, of course, the Obama administration stonewalled—their trademarked response. Instead of providing public information and documents promptly and accurately to reporters, governmental press offices often withhold any and all potentially damaging information until they are forced to release bits and pieces through congressional subpoenas and Freedom of Information requests. But since they often have so many incriminating aspects in them, the documents they release are often worthless because they are redacted.

When Obozo received congressional subpoenas and Freedom of Information requests, he responded with redacted documents that were basically a way to give the finger to Congress and reporters

What's sad about the mainstream media's take on Obama scandals is that they either make a joke of it (while distracting the user with humor while utterly avoiding any of the dozens of serious scandals the rightwing authors are pointing out), minimize each scandal with rationalizations, or they simply print quotes from Obozo stating that his administration had no scandals—a total lie. What that statement really means, of course, is that his administration had no scandals reported in the leftist mainstream media because Obozo was their darling: untouchable, infallible, Teflon, and butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. The rightwing press, on the other hand, reported Obozo's misdeeds vehemently and often, but the left was deaf to their words, considering them liars and prejudiced complainers with nothing of note to add to reportage.
