What are MCs like? They are no different than normal neighborhoods, visually. Unless you want them to be enhanced with a few lifestyle improvements (totally optional). Let's take a normal residential neighborhood. It's fine as is. But there are plenty of ways to optimize it a bit, if you're interested. But don't just take our word for it—check out the various lifestyle enhancements yourself (the links are below). What do you think? How do they make you feel? Let your heart as well as your eyes do the looking. Above all, keep in mind that WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT YOUR CURRENT NEIGHBORS. WE ARE REFERRING TO THE BEST FRIENDS YOU'VE EVER HAD, AND YOU ALL HELP EACH OTHER WITH CHILDCARE AND ELDERCARE SO THERE ARE NO CAREGIVING COSTS AT ALL. The MC matching and relocation processes are there for the purpose of aiding you in actualizing this MC formation dream. WHY register?

Any enclosed walkways are optional and mostly for the purpose of allowing children (and vulnerable elders) to make many safe choices about where they go and who they are with and who their caregiver is. (Since all MC members care very much for all children and elders in the MC, this means high quality, self-chosen caregiving that is psychologically optimal and free.)
The Left tends to say "it takes a village" (partially correct, but implying lots of social programs to pay for). The Right tends to say "no, it takes a family, not a village" (partially correct, and implying dislike of paying for social programs for things that families ought to be dealing with). MC members tend to say "we have all the advantages of both the Left's compassionate village and the Right's family-centered values and none of the disadvantages of either of these worldviews!"
