To repeat, the world has had more than its share of evil scumbags, as you can tell by reading a book of the history of the world—even the sanitized versions that end up as textbooks. It may be true that we saved the day in the two world wars, but—since then—the U.S. has been anything but a world savior. It has been the major force undermining democracy in the world, especially in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

The USA has fomented rebellion and wars in countless countries in order to sell tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons to them, push them into debt, and then walk away with their minerals, diamonds, oil, and other precious resources, often leaving behind environmental devastation. And it is mostly U.S. corporations—working hand in hand with our CIA, the World Bank, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)—that are responsible for this global ravaging—the U.S. only uses its military when the exploitation of other nations by our corporatocracy fails. There are literally hundreds (thousands?) of books that explain these unpleasant realities. Interestingly, other countries are already fully informed about these matters—it is only U.S. citizens that are not. No wonder the public seems so confused and nothing ever changes. They're choking on misinformation that comes their way via political manipulation of citizens and via the Culture War!

Our textbooks assured us that only Russian Communists used propaganda, however, simultaneously, the commies were informing their people that it was only the U.S. Imperialists that used it. And, yes, the U.S. has been the major imperialistic power since WWII. Before then, the British were the main imperialistic power—also known as an Empire (the British Empire). Our history books were not shy about condemning this empire since, after all, these are the imperialists our country rebelled against when we were nothing but colonies of the British Empire. We created the first viable democracy that was supposed to be by the people, for the people, and of the people. And it was just that—for a while. But after WWII, the U.S. started proving that old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely. And so did the communist leaders of the U.S.S.R.

It was a very good thing that the Cold War was a period that kept the world in balance, with the U.S.S.R. and the U.S. keeping each other from running amok and pursuing the ultimate of ambition: empire, like the British did before us. But when the U.S.S.R. collapsed, U.S. ambitions skyrocketed and even though as a constitutional, representative democracy representing peace and democracy (in the history books the U.S. corporatocracy put out), we couldn't be seen as an empire builder, behind the scenes, we were just that. Only it was NOT the U.S. government doing this—it was the corporatocracy and shadow government doing this empire building.

So, our government "spread peace and democracy" as far as our textbooks were concerned and as far as our mainstream media was concerned, but our alternative media and the books that told the truth about all this were given labels by our regular media: kooks, commies, unpatriotic, liars, and conspiracy theorists, or conspiracy nuts, or just nutjobs. The liars were telling the public that the only real truth tellers were liars. But if you really do your research and dig into what has been happening in the last half century, you will confirm that the shadow government controlled mainstream media were lying all along and the non-mainstream media were actually giving us the straight truth. The party line is that we helped Latin America when commies threatened to take over, but the truth is that our shadow government replaced the leaders there—that were trying to represent their people—with violent thugs that represented U.S. corporatocracy agendas. Research it for yourself (avoiding mainstream media propaganda scripted by the corporatocracy), but bring a barf bag. The truth will set you free!
